Draw Outline

The next step is to draw the outline of your doodle.

To do this, use a black pen. Make sure to leave enough space between each line, so that when you color it later, it will be easy for you to see the details of the doodle.

Color Your Drawing

Next is to color your drawing.

You can use color pencils, water color or sketch pens. If you have Porsche, sketch pens use them. The color is going to come out really nice. You can also use color pencils from Jumbo, or Doms brand.

Watch and Follow

Here is how to draw a Christmas tree step-by-step.

This method is easy and quick. And the best part is that you don’t need lots of materials for this DIY.

Follow along as you keep on moving from one image to the other.

Once you have made the bookmark, cut it out. Leave some white edges on the sides of the drawing. This adds beauty to your drawing.

You need to tape your drawing with a transparent tape. The transparent tape gives a good shine to your drawing.

Draw gridlines on these drawings to give it a good shape of a bookmark.

Hint: You can see the gridlines on the images below, that can help you cut it properly.

Wallah!!!!!

You are done with your lovely Christmas themed bookmarks, ready to gift to your loved ones or for your home decor.

Now, these lovely handmade Christmas themed bookmarks can be used to keep track of the pages of your favorite books.

Conclusion

Homemade bookmarks make awesome gifts. While you don’t have to go out and buy a bunch of supplies, you could use empty gift wrap rolls or egg cartons and some brightly colored paper or card stock (ideally printer paper) for construction.

You can put pretty much anything on your bookmark—anything at all—and if that doesn’t cut it, try using your imagination to come up with new ideas.

Even just decorating plain white bookmarks makes them more festive and cute; a basic print-out will do nicely in most cases.
